With Easter around the corner and to support the ‘Art March,’ China Hong Kong City in Tsim Sha Tsui will be hosting a car boot art fair starting this Friday (March 29) to offer arts, crafts, books, delicacies, and much more to visitors.
China Hong Kong City, owned by the Sino Group, is a business complex located in Tsim Sha Tsui. It consists of five office towers, a shopping center, a hotel, and a ferry terminal. The car boot art fair organized by China Hong Kong City aims to connect communities through culture and art. The art fair will be held on weekends and during public holidays, totaling seven days, from March to May, in conjunction with a series of international art events held in the city.
Promoting arts and culture
Featuring a multitude of cultural and creative brands, the art fair is devoted to nurturing imagination and cultivating creativity. It serves as a dynamic platform for local artists to showcase street art in diverse and captivating forms. Moreover, the fair offers an exclusive opportunity for children to curate their own art exhibition, enabling them to gain firsthand experience in managing a gallery. In a unique twist, children can even assume the role of business owners, selling their used toys. Alongside various other artists, GAS, a renowned street artist, has also been invited to create captivating body art for vehicles that were previously solicited from the public. This initiative aims to showcase the unique aspects of street art.
Food paradise
While exploring the cultural and creative market, visitors can also indulge in delectable cuisine. This year, the art fair introduces hot food stalls for the first time, allowing attendees to savor gastronomic delights while immersing themselves in the fair’s atmosphere. Additionally, the market embraces the concept of green living. Collaborating with environmental protection organizations, it ensures that food stalls are equipped with biodegradable food containers, thus minimizing waste.
A heaven for children
The market encompasses a dedicated parent-child play area, providing children with an opportunity to have fun and expend their energy. The scenic sea view podium promenade of China Hong Kong City will be transformed into an electric car driving track exclusively designed for children to experience the thrill of driving. Through charitable donations, children can transform into ‘little drivers’ and partake in this unique adventure. Moreover, in commemoration of the annual Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, a prominent sporting event, the fair has thoughtfully arranged three rugby-themed game stalls to challenge children’s athletic abilities and strategic thinking. On March 30th and 31st, China Hong Kong City has extended a special invitation to members of the Hong Kong Rugby Team, who will conduct daily rugby experience activities, offering children an exhilarating taste of the sport’s excitement and allure.
