Three corporate and personal loan schemes get six-month extension

The Special 100% Loan Guarantee under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme, Pre-approved Principal Payment Holiday Scheme, and the 100% Personal Loan Guarantee Scheme will be extended for another six months, the government announced today.

Speaking at a weekly press briefing, Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor said despite Hong Kong economy remained on track for recovery, some sectors hit hard by the pandemic are still facing difficulties, especially with their cash-flow.

“The government wishes to offer them a helping hand using our limited resources. The Monetary Authority and the Mortgage Corporation Limited will announce details of the extension soon,” said Lam.
