(Video) Dashcam footage reveals moment Brazilian bridge collapses as families demand justice

Harrowing dashcam footage capturing the collapse of the Juscelino Kubitschek bridge in Brazil has been released, shedding new light on the tragic event that left 14 dead and three missing after vehicles plunged into the river below.

The footage, made public for the first time this week by a lawyer representing victims’ families, is part of a campaign demanding compensation. Families of those killed have not received any reparations since the tragedy, which occurred on December 22, 2024.

A total of three motorcycles, one car, two pickup trucks, and four lorries fell into the river. Out of 18 people caught in the collapse, only one survived.

The bridge, constructed in the 1960s, had suffered years of deterioration due to heavy cargo traffic and poor maintenance, according to officials.
