Savills wins Tang portfolio

Savills has been appointed sole agent by Tang Shing-bor's family for a portfolio of properties in COS Centre in Kwun Tong, with a target price of about HK$400 million. Developed by Billion Development and Project Management, the building is near AIA Kowloon Tower and AXA Tower.

Fullsun beats winding-up bid

Mainland developer Fullsun International (0627) said a winding-up petition against the company was dismissed by the Bermuda supreme court at a hearing on July 14.

CCB loses chief risk officer

China Construction Bank (0939) said its chief risk officer Cheng Yuanguo, 60, will resign from the state-owned bank, citing his age. The board of directors has confirmed Cheng's retirement, without revealing the successor.

Cancer firm plans $500m buyback

Chinese cancer screening firm New Horizon Health (6606) plans a shares buyback of up to HK$500 million. This was after due consideration of the company's advancements in commercialization, as well as its enhanced profitability and improved cash flow, it said in a filing.

China Eastern gets second C919

A second China-made C919 aircraft has joined the fleet of China Eastern Airlines (0670), with three more to come this year.The C919 rolls off the line of state-backed Commercial Aviation Corp of China which began developing the jet 15 years ago to rival the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX single-aisle jet families.

Britain joins Pacific trade pact

The UK has signed a treaty to join a Pacific trade deal, becoming the first new member since the framework came into force and shifting attention to a list of other applicants led by China. Business and Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch defended the deal as meaningful even though it already had trade deals with most of the countries.
