South Korean singer HyunA collapsed unconscious on stage during the WATERBOMB MACAO 2025 music festival on Sunday, requiring assistance from security and dancers to be carried off.
The incident occurred during her performance of "Bubble Pop!" at an outdoor venue in Macau when the artist fell to the ground after twerking and turning on stage.
Audience members noted HyunA appeared fatigued earlier in her set, even resting on stage stairs before her collapse. The singer had recently addressed weight gain speculation and resumed dieting, publicly sharing scale photos showing she had returned to the 40-kilogram range.
HyunA has previously disclosed struggling with extreme dieting methods, including eating only one kimbap roll daily to maintain low weight. Diagnosed with vasovagal syncope in 2016, she reported fainting up to 12 times monthly at her most severe condition, alongside battles with depression and panic disorder.
