NWD breaks ground on new mixed‑use project in Tsim Sha Tsui 

New World Development (0017) has commenced work on an international commercial-residential project on Hankow Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, which is expected to launch as early as next year, further strengthening its core property business.

The 27-storey development, with a total gross floor area of around 140,000 square feet, will offer a diversified property mix, including residential, retail, and hotel components. 

The residential units will be located on the upper floors of the development and comprise around 100 units while its hotel component will offer 99 guest rooms.

Echo Huang Shaomei, executive director and chief executive of NWD, said that the commencement of construction on the mixed-use project marks an important step in unlocking the potential of prime urban sites.

She added that the group will continue to "focus on its core property business, seize market opportunities with great agility, and drive steady business progress".
