A luxury house on The Peak has been sold for HK$288 million to Raymond Li Shufeng, founding partner and chair of the Greater China practice at US law firm Paul Hastings, according to Sing Tao.
The property was sold under a court order and was previously owned by former Birmingham City club owner Carson Yeung.
The 3,203-square-foot house at 31B Barker Road was reportedly purchased through Constant Peace Limited, an offshore-registered company, with Li’s name appearing on the conveyancing assignment documents.
The property features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with a platform garden and rooftop, at an average price of about HK$89,916 per square foot.
This marks Li's second acquisition on Barker Road after he bought another mansion for HK$740 million in 2013.
Over the past six months, Li has advised and provided strategic planning for several major Hong Kong listings, including China Resources Beverage (2460), PegBio (2565), HealthyWay (2587), and Mao Geping Cosmetics (1318).
