Disney princess gets mom a queen treat

A mother-daughter duo strengthened bond and created magical moments during their time working at Hong Kong Disneyland.

As Mother's Day approaches, Lilian, a cast member in the guest relations team, planned a surprise for her mother Amy by visiting her at the Professor Porter merchandise store in Adventureland where she works, and sending her flowers.

Lilian got her mother Amy the job at Disney. "I taught my daughter how to write, and I never thought she would become my mentor. It's really touching," her mother recalled. The store where her mother now works was also the place where she first worked.

"I passed on my knowledge to my mom to help her adapt to the fast-paced environment. It's like passing on my passion and magic to my mother, and working together to create happiness for all our guests," Lilian said.

The theme park is hosting a job fair at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Sleeping Beauty Ballroom on Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 4.30pm, offering 500 full-time positions.
