Manchester City stars Phil Foden, Abdukodir Khusanov and Ryan McAidoo drew a huge crowd to the new Hung Hom harbourfront on Thursday for the global launch of the club's new 26/27 away kit, with Foden praising the passion of Hong Kong fans.
The event, held ahead of City's friendly against Inter Milan on Saturday, saw fans gather in large numbers, with some holding hand-drawn portraits of Foden to catch his attention. Club legend Scott Carson kicked off the session, signing autographs and taking photos with supporters.
Foden, who signed a new contract with the club in May, described the new jersey featuring the Manchester Bee emblem as "top-class" and "really beautiful." However, he admitted pre-season training under new manager Enzo Maresca has been "very hard" but that the squad was adapting.
Young star McAidoo, who impressed last season, expressed his appreciation for the fans' support. "To feel the support from you guys is amazing – we love you all. This is a special moment for me. I want to contribute more to the club," he said.
