Explosions heard as warehouse fire breaks out in San Tin

A warehouse fire broke out in San Tin in the early hours of Tuesday, with multiple explosions heard, police said.

Firefighters received multiple reports around 2.30am that a warehouse at Shek Wu Wai San Tsuen was ablaze. Crews deployed breathing apparatus teams and multiple hoses. Due to the remote location, water had to be drawn from hydrants hundreds of metres away.

A man and a woman evacuated on their own. Firefighters initially feared someone was trapped but later confirmed all were safe. No injuries were reported.
