2 passengers fall from stairs on double-decker buses within an hour in Yuen Long and Tsuen Wan

Two passengers were injured in separate incidents on double-decker buses within an hour, with a woman left unconscious after falling from stairs in Yuen Long on Sunday night.

The first incident occurred around 11.30pm on a KMB Route 269D bus traveling from Tin Shui Wai to Sha Tin. Near Kuk Ting Street in Yuen Long, a woman aged about 30 reportedly slipped and fell down the bus stairs. The driver stopped immediately and called for help. Paramedics arrived to find her unconscious and rushed her to Pok Oi Hospital. Police are investigating the case, classified as a traffic accident with injuries.

About an hour later, at around 12.30am on Monday, a man in his 70s fell from stairs on a KMB Route 265M double-decker bus heading towards Kowloon. He was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have also classified this as a traffic accident.
