Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting taking place from January 19 to 23 in Davos, Switzerland.
The WEF Annual Meeting this year will bring together nearly 3,000 leaders from various sectors -- including the political, business, financial, innovation and technology, arts and cultural sectors, as well as international organisations and think tanks from over 130 countries and regions -- to explore critical global issues jointly.
Chan will speak and join discussions at several keynote meetings, luncheons and dinners. He will also meet with political, business and financial leaders to brief them on the latest situation in Hong Kong as well as the city's new opportunities.
The theme of the WEF Annual Meeting 2026 is "A Spirit of Dialogue", covering topics such as co-operating in a more contested world, unlocking new sources of growth, better investing in people, deploying innovation at scale in a responsible manner, and building prosperity within planetary boundaries.
He will leave Davos on January 23 (Davos time) and arrive in Hong Kong on Saturday (Jan 24).
