Taxi driver arrested for dangerous driving on Kwun Tong Bypass

A 54-year-old taxi driver was arrested for alleged dangerous driving on the Kwun Tong Bypass on Tuesday night.

Officers from the Kowloon East traffic's task force spotted the taxi speeding and weaving through traffic toward Hong Kong Island around 10pm. They followed and stopped it at the Eastern Harbour Tunnel's Hong Kong-bound entrance.

The driver, surnamed Cheung, was arrested and is being held for investigation. The taxi has been impounded for inspection.
