Driver arrested as drug-filled van found parked illegally in Sai Wan Ho

A driver was arrested for suspected drug driving and trafficking after police found a van filled with cannabis buds parked illegally in Sai Wan Ho on New Year's Eve.

Officers on patrol spotted the suspicious van on a single yellow line on Tai Hong Street and approached to issue a ticket. They found the driver was wanted for unpaid fines and noticed a strong smell of cannabis inside.

A search revealed multiple bags of cannabis buds. The driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and trafficking in dangerous drugs.
