HK men’s epee and women’s foil teams fall in National Games quarter-finals

Hong Kong’s men’s epee and women’s foil teams bowed out in the National Games quarter-finals on Thursday afternoon.
In the men’s epee competition, the team of Cedric Ho Wai-hang, Fong Hoi-sun, Ng Ho-tin, and Lau Ho-fung faced Shandong in the quarter-finals but narrowly lost by one point, missing out on a place in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, in the women’s foil quarter-finals, the Hong Kong team — Kuan Yu-ching, Valerie Cheng Hiu-wai, Sophia Wu, and Wu Jiawei — lost 36–45 to the No. 3 seed Chongqing, ending their run in the last eight. 

Both teams will move on to the ranking matches later today.
