Elderly couple injured in escalator accident at Po Lam station

An elderly couple fell on an escalator in Tseung Kwan O on Tuesday, resulting in the hospitalization of one.

The incident occurred at Po Lam Station at 12.39pm where the couple fell while standing on the escalator near Exit B1. The 80-year-old woman sustained injuries to her leg and was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment. 

Reports from the scene suggest that the escalator in question was functioning normally at the time of the incident.
