Hong Kong's Olympic bronze medalist Grace Lau Mo-sheung achieved a historic three-peat in the individual kata competition at the Asian Karate Championships in the Republic of Uzbekistan on Sunday.

The Karatedo star earned 42.7 points for her Chatanyara Kushanku and claimed gold in the final against Japanese opponent Hikaru Ono, who finished just 1 point behind.
Lau has claimed a spot on the podium in every international competition she has participated in since February 2020.

Meanwhile, Wong Cheuk-lee also earned a bronze medal in the female individual kumite-68 kg category when competing at the highest level of sport karate in Asia.
The Hong Kong team claimed a total of one gold and three bronze medals at the Championships, with additional bronze medals won by both the Men's Team Kata and Women's Team Kata events.
