St. Joseph’s College (SJC) has commemorated its sesquicentennial with the 150th Anniversary Grand Open Day on Sunday (Feb 23) to honour the college’s rich legacy.

The 150th anniversary was marked by a series of celebratory events, with the Grand Open Day to stood out as a highlight among the activities to symbolize both a significant milestone and the laying of a foundation for future chapters.
The day was inaugurated by several illustrious alumni, including business leader William Doo Wai-hoi, executive councilor Jeffrey LAM Kin-fung, vice-chancellor and president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) professor Dennis Lo Yuk-ming, Senior Counsel Paul Shieh and chairman of the Museum Advisory Committee Douglas So Cheung-tak.
The Grand Open Day was characterized by a vibrant array of student-led activities, including recitations, musical performances, and theatrical productions, culminating in an evening fireworks display.
The event also showcased the creativity and leadership of younger students, who managed various thematic stalls, demonstrating their ability to innovate and lead.
