A man was arrested after being busted with over HK$760,000 worth of cannabis and related products in Sha Tau Kok on Saturday afternoon.
Tseung Kwan O district police intercepted a suspicious man near Sha Tau Kok based on their in-depth investigation and were able to find 157 bags of suspected cannabis weighing nearly 2 kilograms in his sedan.
They were also able to seize other cannabis products, such as 158 grams of suspected cannabis candy, 37 bottles of suspected cannabis oil, 28 suspected e-cigarettes with cannabis, and a small amount of suspected LSD stamps from the same vehicle.
Afterward, they went to the man's apartment located in Sheung Shui and were able to seize an additional 106 bags of suspected cannabis weighing about 1.26 kilograms, approximately 206 grams of suspected cannabis candy, along with other packaging tools.
The total amount of drugs seized during this operation had a total market value of around HK$760,000.
After a preliminary investigation, the 31-year-old man, surnamed Chan, has been arrested on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs and is currently under police custody.
