Massive fire breaks out at Kwai Chung Container Terminals

A fire broke out at the Kwai Chung Container Terminal 1, with thick plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

The fire erupted around 11 am and originated from the terminal building, which is suspected to have been triggered by ignited cargo.

As the flames raged and smoke engulfed the surroundings, workers were evacuated for their safety. One of them felt unwell after inhaling smoke and was sent to hospital for medical treatment.

The alarming scene was visible from Lai King, Tsing Yi, and parts of Hong Kong Island.
