According to the woman, her birth parents had handed her over to a couple - the Ng family - due to poverty. Her birth father’s name is Lam Kei (transliteration) while her birth mother’s name is Au Lai-kin (transliteration).
The 68-year-old said she lived in Kowloon when she was young and later relocated to Lam Tei in the New Territories. Her foster parents - who ran a business selling kites - had already passed away.
Lam Sui-fan - who married and had two children, said she has missed her birth parents for many years and decided to reach out to hopefully reunite with them this Mid-Autumn Festival.
The Hong Kong Red Cross said anyone with information could contact them or call them at 2507 7135.
