Hong Kong’s housing market extended its recovery in October, with the number of registered residential property deals rising 1.3 percent from September and 21.7 percent from a year earlier to 5,714, according to data released by the Land Registry on Tuesday.

The total consideration for residential transactions climbed 8.1 percent month-on-month and 37.0 percent year-on-year to HK$51.1 billion.
Across all property types, 7,190 sale and purchase agreements were registered in October, up 4.7 percent from September and 22.8 percent from October 2024, with a total value of HK$57.9 billion, representing an 8.3 percent monthly and 39.0 percent annual increase.
