MTR to run overnight trains on New Year's Eve

MTR Corporation will enhance train services during the New Year period, with railway lines operating overnight on New Year's Eve.

The arrangements do not include the Airport Express, Disneyland Resort Line, or journeys to and from Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations on the East Rail Line.

Seven Light Rail lines, namely 505, 507, 610, 614P, 615P, 706, and 751, will operate overnight, while MTR bus routes 506, K51, and K54A will extend their service hours.

To accommodate the service arrangements at the Lo Wu boundary control point on the day, the last train to Lo Wu Station on the East Rail Line will depart from Admiralty Station at 12.56am.

Meanwhile, Tuen Ma Line service will be enhanced after midnight to facilitate passengers departing the countdown concert at Kai Tak Sports Park on New Year's Eve.

The corporation reminds cross-boundary passengers participating in countdown events to note the service hours of the East Rail Line and plan their journeys in advance.
