Shandong Aircraft Carrier Task Group to visit HK on Thur

China's Shandong Aircraft Carrier Task Group is scheduled to visit Hong Kong for a duration of five days, commencing on Thursday (Jul 3). The vessels will be accessible to the public for visitation on July 5 and 6.

A total of 10,000 tickets will be made available, which includes 2,000 tickets designated for the aircraft carrier Shandong and 8,000 tickets for both the destroyer Zhanjiang and the frigate Yuncheng.

Members of the public may secure reservations through the official WeChat account of the Hong Kong Garrison at 10am, 3pm and 8pm daily, starting from Monday (Jun 30).

The Hong Kong Garrison has announced that visitors will have the opportunity to tour the Shandong vessel, where they can observe shipborne weapons and equipment, including fighter aircraft and helicopters within specified areas. Additionally, visitors will be able to view training demonstrations.

Individuals holding tickets will be required to undergo security checks at the Central Piers prior to boarding a shuttle boat to access the aircraft carrier.

For those visiting the Zhanjiang and Yuncheng vessels, security checks will take place at the Ngong Shuen Chau Barracks, where attendees will have the opportunity to explore the two warships and their shipborne helicopters, as well as witness training demonstrations.
