South Korean actress Lee Seo-yi has died at the age of 43, according to a belated announcement shared by her manager.
The message was posted on the actress' social media account on Tuesday (Jul 1).
"A radiant, beautiful, kind and lovely eonni (older close friend) became a star in the sky on June 20, 2025." The post served as an obituary for the actress.
"As many of you may be shocked and saddened by this sudden news, we ask that you pray for her to go to a peaceful and beautiful place," the manager added.
The cause of death was not disclosed.
The news came as a shock to fans, especially as Lee had been active on social media until recently. Fellow actors and industry colleagues have left heartfelt messages expressing sorrow and remembrance.
Born in 1982, Lee began her acting career with the 2013 MBC historical drama "Hur Jun, the Original Story" and went on to appear in "Cheongdamdong
Scandal," as well as films including "The King," and "Killing Romance."
She most recently appeared in the tvN drama "The Divorce Insurance," which concluded its run in May.
