Giordano International (0709) reported a 3.9 percent rise in overall revenue in the first quarter, but warned that supply chain volatility, intensified by macroeconomic headwinds and Middle East tensions, could dampen consumer sentiment.
The company’s retail revenue rose 7.4 percent in the quarter, driven by growth in the Greater China market, according to a statement.
Overall same-store sales grew by 8.2 percent.
While Giordano continues to target a 3-5 percent revenue growth this year, it anticipates near-term headwinds that could temporarily weigh on group performance, particularly in the first half, as ongoing regional uncertainty in the Middle East and intermittent logistics disruptions may constrain footfall and conversion.
