Pop Mart shares up to over 8pc after strong annual meeting update

Pop Mart (9992) shares once rose 8.55 percent on Monday after the company disclosed upbeat operating figures at its annual meeting.

Founder Wang Ning said at the meeting on Sunday that Pop Mart had more than 100 million registered members globally and over 10,000 employees as of last year. Sales of its LABUBU figures exceeded 100 million units during the year, while total sales across all products and IPs topped 400 million units, according to mainland media reports.

The company's business now spans more than 100 countries and regions, with over 700 stores worldwide. It operates six supply chain bases and has helped support more than 200,000 jobs.

The share rose 5.67 percent to HK$257 by 3.29 pm.
