YTO International Express and Supply Chain Technology (6123) will acquire land in Kazakhstan for US$6.13 million (HK$47.8 million) to bolster its international operations.
The company announced on Wednesday that it signed a preliminary agreement to purchase a 442,000-square-meter plot located south of the Khorgos–Almaty Highway in Baiserke Village, Almaty Region, Kazakhstan.
The acquired land will be used to develop bonded and non-bonded warehouses, storage yards, joint logistics warehouses, and supporting living facilities.
According to the exchange filing, the acquisition will allow the company to leverage the land’s location and resource advantages to establish key logistics hubs in strategic regions and markets.
This move aims to enhance investment in core logistics infrastructure, synergize with the group’s capabilities in storage, delivery, and logistics, optimize cross-border logistics products, and extend global supply chain services.
