A man in his 50s has passed away after receiving the Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine, marking the 17th death under the city’s mass inoculation drive.
According to reports, the man had no history of chronic illness. He was found unconscious yesterday and rushed to North District Hospital, where he was later certified dead.
The man received his first Sinovac jab in a community vaccination centre at Yuen Wo Road Sports Centre in Shatin early this month.
His family member told the press that the man had complained about having chest pain a few days before he was sent to the hospital yesterday.
