Junior primary classes suspended for two weeksLocal | 20 Nov 2020 12:46 pm
Hong Kong will suspend classes for students in primary one to primary three for two weeks from next Monday.
The Secretary for Health, Sophia Chan Siu-chee, announced today in a 12:30pm briefing, that the junior primary students face a high risk of infection.
"The younger they are, the less they are able to take care of themselves,'' Chan said, explaining the decision, prompted by a number of upper respiratory tract infections among the students.
Parents and teachers of higher primary classes have been advised to be vigilant, as well.
Kindergartens were suspended last Saturday.
