The Li Ka Shing Foundation has donated HK$3 million to those who were injured and the family of the deceased from the Yau Ma Tei fire on the night of November 15.
The Foundation said Li was deeply saddened hearing the news, hoping the relief, distributed through the Home Affairs Department, will help the families.
He also wishes the ones who were injured a speedy recovery.

Reports said people in the restaurant were celebrating Diwali, a Hindu festival, as well as a 3-year-old boy’s birthday when the blaze occurred. Candles set soundproofing materials on fire, causing the tragedy.
