Residents will receive the second round of free reusable masks starting tomorrow (September 14).
The product named CuMask+™ will be available to anyone who has applied for it online from May 6 to June 6, received the first reusable mask and agreed to have other masks provided by the government delivered to his or her address.
An eligible applicant will receive an SMS message with a tracking number of the mail before the mask’s delivery.
Within three days after receiving such messages, residents can expect the items to be delivered to their residence by Hongkong Post.
Postmen will insert the masks into letter boxes, and will only try to knock at the recipients’ door if failing to do so.
Those who missed the post officers can still collect their masks at the post office within 14 working days with a notification card left by officers.
A spokesman of Hongkong Post urged residents to stay alarmed at and report counterfeit notifications.
“[We] will neither notify [receivers] the arrangements on delivery or collection through phone calls, emails, other instant messaging programmes or social platforms, nor ask for any personal information of them or their family members,” he said.
Also, the company would not ask residents to reply to any messages sent by it, the spokesman added.
