Swire Properties announced today incentives worth HK$8 million, including HK$10,000 worth shopping coupons in a lucky draw, to encourage more people to get vaccinated.
Incentives such as shopping coupons and health screenings are also being offered to Swire Properties staff.
Those who are fully vaccinated will be eligible to enter a lucky draw to win a shopping spree at Swire Properties’ malls in Hong Kong, while the company’s Hong Kong-based staff will receive shopping coupons valued at HK$2,000 in addition to a special rest day announced earlier.
Guy Bradley, the Chief Executive of Swire Properties, said the company wants to help staff, help tenants and help the people of Hong Kong “with the aim of getting our city back on track.''
Swire Properties said that the lucky draw for HKID holders will offer 500 prizes with each winner eligible for HK$10,000 in shopping vouchers that can be used at malls including Pacific Place, Cityplaza and Citygate Outlets.
To be eligible participants must be fully vaccinated before the end of August 2021. The shopping vouchers will be valid for a year.
As for staff, Swire Properties said that those who receive two doses of the vaccine before the end of August will receive a shopping voucher worth HK$2,000. They can also can have a free pre-vaccination medical assessment to determine whether they are physically suitable for coronavirus vaccination.
Swire Hotels, a division of Swire Properties, earlier offered its staff a pre-vaccination medical screening and one to three days of special leave for Hong Kong-based colleagues who fully complete the vaccination process. Staff can also take part in a lucky draw to win one of 30 prizes, including a HK$10,000 travel reimbursement and staycation packages.
