In West Kowloon, Olympian City and STAYFUN present “Animal Care Intern”, the first stop of its Asian tour. Children aged 4 to 10 will have fun learning how to take care of six “wild” animals – the giraffe, African elephant, hippopotamus, giant panda, koala and kangaroo – across four interactive zones.
Olympian City
These life-sized installations, such as the hippopotamus, are made at a scale of 1:1. The kinetic adult giraffe installation towers at 4.5 metres while the adult African elephant, not only moves but also emits sounds, measures 2.8 metres in height. Even the baby pandas weigh and feel like real ones!
With ecologist and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Lingnan University Professor Sung Yik-hei as the consultant of the programme, children “interns” will be given a staff card and uniform to “work”.
Upon completion of all the tasks, an official animal carer certificate and a HK$50 Olympian City dining coupon will be awarded, plus the chance to win Ocean Park Hong Kong admission tickets and a night’s stay at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong. Get your “Animal Care Intern” tickets exclusively on Klook.
In the meantime, at Ma On Shan’s MOSTown, “The World of Eric Carle” revisits the magical scenes from three of Eric Carle’s classical children’s books: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Lonely Firefly, and 10 Little Rubber Ducks. Take pics in the photo zones, play interactive games, buy Eric Carle’s books and merchandize, and visit a special eye-opening exhibition of Hong Kong’s rarest species of fireflies!
