CE expresses grief over Air India crash, reaffirms HK aviation safety

Colombian music star Yeison Jiménez and his manager were among six people killed when their private plane crashed in Boyacá department on January 10, according to foreign media reports. He was 34.
The plane, registration N325FA, reportedly made a loud engine noise shortly after takeoff before crashing and catching fire. Authorities confirmed all six on board died. The cause is under investigation. His agency and music magazine Billboard confirmed the news.








Jiménez, known for blending Mexican traditional music with Colombian styles, had over 5.4 million social media followers. His career peaked in 2024 with three sold-out shows at Bogotá's Movistar Arena, drawing over 40,000 fans.
He was scheduled for another major concert on March 28, already sold out. He is survived by his wife and three young children. The Boyacá governor's office declared official mourning and expressed condolences.
