Apple will start taking pre-orders for the iPhone Air in China from Friday, chief executive Tim Cook announced during his visit to the country.
Sales of the eSIM-only device will take place on October 22, Cook said in a livestream on Douyin on Monday.
The model's price starts from 7,999 yuan (HK$8,722). The launch of the thinnest iPhone was postponed in China last month, pending regulatory approvals for eSIM.
