The Hong Kong Jockey Club has launched a vibrant campaign to celebrate the Year of the Horse. Among its highlights is “Heavenly Horses: Masterpieces from the Palace Museum”, jointly organised by the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum, and exclusively sponsored by the Institute of Philanthropy (IoP). The exhibition showcases nearly 100 horse themed paintings by more than 60 renowned artists, spanning from the Yuan dynasty to the 20th century. It celebrates the horse as an enduring symbol of perseverance, vitality and the national spirit in Chinese culture.
The exhibition forms a key component of IoP’s ongoing five-year collaboration with the Palace Museum. The initiative aims to deepen cultural understanding among younger generations and nurture arts-technology talent in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. Alongside AI powered interactive experiences, lectures and workshops, the exhibition also offers complimentary tickets and guided tours to underprivileged groups and students.
The Club’s Year of the Horse campaign honours the profound partnership between humans and horses, aiming to unite the community through thrilling races, international equestrian spectacles and a special series of cultural, sporting and family-focused events. The year-long campaign serves as a community celebration, a tourist attraction and an opportunity to promote equine and community sports development.
