A bus driver narrowly avoided hitting an elderly man who was wandering on the Tsing Kwai Highway towards Tuen Mun late on Tuesday night, dashcam footage shows.
The incident occurred around 11pm near the container terminal when a 968 bus travelling in the slow lane spotted the man walking in the opposite direction. The driver quickly switched lanes to avoid him, with the vehicle passing dangerously close.
Police received a report at 11.05pm and located the man, bringing him to safety. He was not injured. Police are investigating how he ended up on the expressway.
