Warner in, Burns out

Australia opener Joe Burns has been dropped for the third Test against India in Sydney next week after twin failures with the bat in the Boxing Day match in Melbourne.

Regular opener David Warner has been included in an 18-man squad for the Test, which starts January 7, as he recovers from a groin injury. Uncapped opener Will Pucovski and all-rounder Sean Abbott were also called up.

Burns was out for a duck and four in Melbourne where Australia crashed to an eight-wicket loss that levelled the four-Test series at 1-1.
