Hong Kong's home sales value amounted to HK$57.6 billion in February, up 17 percent from January and an increase of 150.3 percent year-on-year, according to data from the Land Registry on Tuesday.
The number of sale and purchase agreements for residential units reached 6,669, reflecting an increase of 17.6 percent compared with January and a 108.4 percent rise from a year earlier.
Besides, the Land Registry records 7,924 sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in February, marking a 3.8 percent increase from January and a 84 percent surge year-on-year.
Total consideration for these agreements reached HK$62.1 billion, up 8.6 percent month-on-month and 119.7 percent compared year-on-year.
