HSBC expects HK property prices to grow 7pc this year

HSBC Global Investment Research raised Hong Kong's home price growth forecast to 7 percent this year from a range of 3 to 5 percent, posting a positive outlook of the city's property sector.
 
Low interest rate, support from the banks, wealth effect brought by the thriving financial market, improved supply condition, as well as the growing housing demand, would accelerate the recovery of the city's property market, according to its report.
