To mark National Day, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) announced Thursday that its Café "1974" has launched a limited-time "bus stop" themed pop-up designed to engage visitors and raise public awareness of the agency's anti-corruption mission.
Drawing inspiration from Hong Kong's distinctive streetscapes, the installation blends the city’s iconic T-shaped street name signs with the cafe’s signature giant coffee cup, transforming the entrance into the "Route 303 Bus Stop."
The number 303 refers to the address of the ICAC Headquarters at 303 Java Road in North Point. Together with specially designed street signs themed around integrity and honesty, the installation encourages members of the public to set off with sincerity and stay true to integrity throughout life, ICAC said.
The venue also features several festive installations, including a wide-angle street-style selfie mirror, a large National Day commemorative poster, and interactive photo backdrops.
Emphasizing sustainability alongside the agency's renowned coffee culture, the event showcases live demonstrations showing how recycled coffee grounds are converted into eco-friendly 3D-printing filaments to produce ICAC cultural keepsakes.
Visitors participating in interactive quizzes on the ICAC’s official social media channels—including Facebook, Instagram, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu—can redeem limited-edition 3D-printed charms made from recycled coffee grounds, as well as miniature street sign keychains, while supplies last.
Guests touring Café "1974" and the adjacent ICAC Exhibition Hall during the holiday period will also receive a commemorative National Day stamp card showcasing renowned architectural landmarks from Hong Kong and the mainland.
In addition, two new official ICAC souvenirs—branded refrigerator magnets and metal coffee spoons—will go on sale in limited quantities starting October 1. An oversized ceramic coffee mug, which sold out quickly following its debut earlier this year, will also see a limited restock during the festivities.
The ICAC Exhibition Hall and Café “1974” will be open all day from October 1 to 3 and October 5 to 7. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm, with the Exhibition Hall taking a break from 1pm to 2pm.
