Over 7,000 join charity walk on newly completed Fanling Bypass Eastern Section

Over 7,000 people took part in the Community Chest New Territories Walk for Millions this morning, as the event was held on the newly completed Fanling Bypass (Eastern Section).

Deputy Secretary for Justice Cheung Kwok-kwan officiated the opening ceremony, marking the start of the charity walk.

Among the participants was a parent who brought her 3-year-old son, hoping he could experience the new road before its official opening in April, witness local infrastructure development firsthand, and gain a better understanding of the community.

Other attendees commented on the stunning scenery along the bypass, expressing their excitement to drive through the area once it opens to traffic.

They also voiced hopes that authorities will continue widening roads in various districts to improve traffic flow and ease congestion citywide.
