Police in Tsuen Wan arrest duo in prostitution sting

Tsuen Wan police arrested a mainland Chinese woman and a local man in an anti-prostitution operation on Sunday.

Officers from the district's special duty squad targeted street prostitution in Chuen Lung Street. A 45-year-old mainland woman was arrested on suspicion of "soliciting for an immoral purpose" and "breach of conditions of stay."

During the operation, police also arrested a 66-year-old local man on suspicion of "living on the earnings of prostitution" and "tenant etc. permitting premises or vessel to be used for prostitution," relating to a suspected rental unit used for such activities.

Police seized a batch of exhibits from the premises, including a large quantity of condoms and wet wipes.
