Wong Tai Sin Temple will maintain its extended opening hours until 9 pm on the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month, allowing the public to pray for those affected by the Wang Fuk Court fire.
In a social media post on Monday (Dec 1), the temple welcomed the public to visit on Thursday, the fifteenth day of this lunar month, and on subsequent first and fifteenth days.
Visitors may quietly copy sutras or release sky lanterns to pray for the repose of the deceased, as well as the injured and their families.
Meanwhile, the temple stated that the scheduled Puyi Music Ensemble performance and workshop event on Thursday will be suspended due to the somber atmosphere recently.
It also expressed its deepest condolences to the deceased and extended sincere sympathies to all the injured and affected families.
