A Hong Kong tourist collided with a Taiwanese paraglider while flying in Taiwan's Nantou County on Saturday, sending both crashing into wooded area though neither sustained injuries.
The incident occurred at Tiger Head Mountain in Puli Town, a popular paragliding destination. Witness footage shows a yellow paraglider flying higher and a red one lower before they collided mid-air and became entangled in trees.
According to local media reports, the Hong Kong male paraglider held a license and was considered instructor-level. The collision appeared to result from operational error.
Both participants managed to free themselves and pack their parachutes without assistance. The incident footage shared on social media platforms has sparked online discussion.
