Xiaomi (1810) has launched its first AI glasses, calling them a "portable gateway to AI" capable of real-time environmental perception and assistance.
Early reports indicate strong demand, with nearly 50,000 units sold in China within three days of release.
Integrated with SenseTime's SenseChat AI platform, the glasses feature: full-duplex voice interaction mimicking human conversation, real-time translation and search, noise suppression and contextual memory.
SenseTime (0020) claims its V6.5 model now surpasses Gemini 2.5 Flash and GPT-4o in multimodal performance. The glasses aim to overcome traditional smart devices' limitations by combining sight, speech, and processing in one wearable.
The launch highlights China's push into AI wearables, positioning Xiaomi and SenseTime as key players in practical AI applications.
Currently available in select markets, Xiaomi plans global expansion for its AI glasses in coming months.
