BrainCo, a Chinese startup developing brain–computer interface products, is reportedly negotiating new funding at a valuation exceeding US$1.3 billion (HK$10.14 billion) before pursuing an initial public offering in mainland China or Hong Kong.
BrainCo is seeking about US$100 million in pre-IPO financing, Bloomberg News reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. The firm has begun preparing listing documents, though specific locations and details remain undetermined.
Founded in 2015, BrainCo focuses on non-invasive BCI technology that establishes signal transmission pathways between the brain and external devices. Its solutions target brain disorders such as autism through information exchange systems.
The company is a Hangzhou-based unicorn and is called one of the "Hangzhou Six Dragons”.
