Octopus Cards Limited (Octopus) unveiled its latest “Octopus Go” campaign, a strategic push to expand its digital ecosystem and promote the use of its mobile services. The campaign highlights Octopus’ commitment in enhancing customer experience and promoting the broader adoption of the mobile version of the Octopus Card and Octopus App as everyday essentials — from payments to travel.
The "Octopus Go" campaign is a new brand elevation initiative that underscores the company’s strategic commitment to digital innovation and the widespread adoption of its mobile payment solutions, reinforcing its position as a leading fintech brand in Hong Kong in sync with its mission “Making Everyday Life Easier”.
In addition to the existing Mobile Octopus in which users can tap their mobile devices in place of a physical Octopus Card, Octopus App users of all major smartphone platforms, including Android, Apple and Huawei, can now effortlessly manage daily payments, utilise automatic add-value services (AAVS), and make online and in-app purchases.
Moreover, the revamped “Travel Corner” within the Octopus App further streamlines transport-related payments. Users can now access cross-boundary payment options in mainland China, South Korea, and Thailand, purchase high-speed rail tickets, and even book ride-hailing services in Southeast Asia—all from a single platform. This integration aims to simplify urban mobility for a smooth payment experience.

Concurrently, Octopus is rolling out a series of promotional activities, totaling more than $4.5 million: to accelerate the transition to mobile payments and encourage broader adoption. Simply register once through the dedicated "Octopus Go" section within the updated Octopus App to join all three tiers of promotion offers.
Highlights include the "Octopus Go: Mobile Octopus Black Card" Lucky Draw to win a Mobile Octopus Black Card bundled with 365 instances of HK$250 AAVS, valued at HK$91,250. Mobile Octopus users can earn lucky draw entries by registering via the Octopus App and making transactions or topping up their Mobile Octopus via AAVS from now until 20 September 2025. Six winners will be selected over the three-month period, with the total prize value exceeding HK$547,500.
The New Mobile Octopus Customer Welcome Offer of a HK$100 Octopus top-up value is available to new customers who register or transfer a physical Octopus to their mobile device and complete a single transaction of HK$50 or more from now to 20 September 2025.
Meanwhile, the Mobile Octopus Spending Rebate of up to 5% is available to Mobile Octopus users who register via the Octopus App and spend with their Mobile Octopus from now to 20 September 2025, capped at HK$100 Octopus top-up value per customer.
Finally, the New Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) Customer Offer of a HK$100 Octopus top-up value is offered to new AAVS applicants who successfully top up at least once and register via the Octopus promotional page from now until 30 September 2025.
