China to lower retail gasoline and diesel prices from August 15

China will lower domestic retail price caps on gasoline and diesel from Saturday, the National Development and Reform Commission said in a notice on Friday, the fifth cut this year.

Retail ceiling prices for gasoline and diesel will fall by 230 yuan (HK$267.63) and 220 yuan per metric ton, respectively, the NDRC said.
